I’m Aoife Keeley, a UX designer and teacher based in Dublin. My career path has never been a straight line — and that’s what makes my perspective unique.

I hold a BSc in General Science, which gave me a strong foundation in analytical thinking and problem-solving. But instead of heading into a lab, I spent the next ten years teaching, working with diverse groups of learners from all over the world. Teaching sharpened my skills in communication, empathy, and adaptability, and has shown me how people engage with information in very different ways. I learned to spot when someone was confused, when they were engaged, and when a change in approach could make all the difference.

All about Aoife

Alongside education, I’ve always been fascinated by art, psychology, and photography. These interests influence the way I approach design. They remind me to pay attention to detail, to consider human behaviour, and to balance clarity with creativity.

Most recently, I completed the DCU Certificate in User Experience (CUX), where I built case studies in usability testing, user research, and interaction design. These projects focused on challenges such as trust in healthcare booking systems or social network platforms, accessibility in online platforms, and inclusivity in housing searches. Through this work I developed skills in Figma, Miro, user testing, heuristic evaluation, and accessibility standards, all grounded in evidence-based design.

At the heart of my practice is a simple belief: good design helps people feel confident, supported, and understood. I want to create digital experiences that are intuitive, ethical, and inclusive through UX design, learning experience design, or instructional design.

When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me exploring Dublin, diving into a new book on psychology, or writing the next chapter of my book.
